What we collect

When you contact us, request a quote or bring in a device, we collect what you give us: your name, phone number, email address, the device you need help with, a description of the problem and how you prefer to be contacted. If you check the text message box on our form, we also record that you agreed to receive texts and when.

We do not go through the personal files on your device. We only access what we need to diagnose and complete the repair you asked for.

How we use it

• To answer your questions and send you quotes
• To schedule appointments and send reminders
• To let you know about repair status, approvals and pickup
• To keep records of the work we did for warranty and support purposes

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run our website and business tools (for example Wix, which hosts this site and stores form submissions, FormSubmit, which delivers form emails, and MyRepairApp, which runs our quote form), and only so they can provide those services to us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

We do not sell, rent or share your mobile phone number or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

SMS / text message terms

Program: Akins PC Repair customer service texts. These include quotes, appointment reminders, repair status updates, approval requests and pickup notices about your request or repair.

How you opt in: by checking the text message consent box on our website contact form, or by asking us in person or by phone to text you. Consent is optional and is not a condition of any purchase or service. If you don't opt in, we will reach you by phone or email instead.

Marketing: we will not send you promotional or marketing texts unless you separately agree to receive them.

Message frequency varies based on your request. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan.

To opt out, reply STOP to any message (STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT and STOPALL also work). You'll get one message confirming you've been unsubscribed and no further texts. You can also opt out by calling us, emailing us or telling us in the shop; we honor any reasonable opt-out request promptly and within 10 business days at most. To opt back in, reply START or ask us.

Your choices

You can ask us to update or delete your contact information, or to stop contacting you, at any time using the contact details below. We may need to keep some records of repairs and payments as required by law or for warranty purposes.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no website or system is completely secure.

Children

Our website and text messages are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this page from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
